While we set out to follow the prescribed Sentier Historique Sur les terres du baron Guiguer, we deviated quite a lot. The suggested route is approximately 9km and not a circuit. This means either a long walk or a bus ride back to the car.
There are a good number of paths in the area that make it easy to create a circuit without necessarily following the entire path. We started at the car park near waypoint 2. After waypoint 4 we continued to the main road (Route de Lausanne), along to the power station. This was the least pleasant part of the walk because there is a section with no footpath along the busy road. We turned left at the power station to follow the WWII Toblerone defences. We turned right at the roundabout after the Case dos Frangos and at the Route de Lausanne, turned right. We then joined the suggested route and followed it back to the car park.
